Hello out there,

Did you ever have been in a situation where everything is just lining up perfectly and waiting for you to take a photo? This happened to me one evening in the Halong Bay when I was standing at the railing of a typical Vietnamese junk and this scene revealed itself.

Getting to this situation, or rather visiting Vietnam in the first place, was mostly driven by my fascination for the Ha Long Bay. Growing up I had seen so many impressive pictures of this unique spot, that I had always dreamed of seeing it myself.

In preparation for my journey, I came across a company offering multi-day tours with overnight stays in the bay. Of course, I did not waist one minute and booked it, since the opportunity of staying in the bay overnight even exceeded my highest expectations. And if you are ever planning to visit Ha Long Bay, you should do so too. These three days I spend on one of the junks had just been incredible. And it is not just sitting on the boat the whole day and watch the islands go by. You are kayaking through water caves, hiking in the jungle with monkeys and getting in touch with the locals in their floating villages. So being exhausted of all these activities, I just enjoyed standing at the railing one evening and saw another boat perfectly lining up with the mountain in the background. While I was getting my camera some kayakers showed up perfectly completing the scene. So I just had to press the shutter, to captured one of my most favorite memories of this adventure.
