Ancient Passage
Hello out there,
Milan is a great destination for a short weekend trip. Especially in late autumn or early spring, I enjoy visiting the Italiens fashion capital to catch some sunshine, while Germany is more or less covered by rain clouds.
To catch this shot, I got up early on the first day and took the subway to the Navigli District, where several canals actually give you the feeling of being in Venice. After walking around for some time and observing the everyday life of the locals, I headed to Milan's main square, the Piazza del Duomo. I could have taken again the subway or the tram, but instead decided to walk in between the sites.
About halfway, I then came up to an ancient archway. First I actually did not pay much attention to it, since there was a church located right behind the archway, which caught my eye. So I walked inside. But as I came back out again, I instantly looked down the road I was coming from. Now I could not miss paying attention to the archway, which was perfectly framing the scenery. So I grabbed my camera and took this photo. In the same moment, a car passed by me and I realized how much luck just I had, capturing this great scenery without any car in it.
