Stopping Clouds
Hello out there,
When we head down to the Austrian Alps, for our annual hiking trip, I'm always fascinated as somewhere in southern Bavaria, just out of nowhere, the mountains appear at the horizon. It gives me a very exciting feeling since I'm already looking forward to putting on the boots and get on a hiking trail. Therefore, I'm very happy, that we already use the day of our arrival for a first hike around the village of Lermoos, where we usually stay at.
One time, our first hike lead us up to the Bichlbacher Alm. Since it is located right in the middle of a valley, you have a nice view in both directions. In the west, there is the Thaneller and down east, the Sonnenspitze. On the latter, we were first mainly looking with concerns, since some heavy clouds were showing up on the horizon and heading our way. But luckily, the Sonnenspitz and the surrounding mountain range kept the clouds from coming further in our direction.
Therefore did we not only stay dry but also had an amazing view down the valley. Of course, this was a scene to be photographed, so I pulled out my camera, dialed in the settings and just had to press the shutter.
