Rock Divider
Hello out there,
Sometimes the colors you can find in nature are just fascinating. Like the turquoise of this stream flowing through the Partnachklamm, a canyon in the south of Germany, I definitely needed to capture in a photograph.
Even though I had been visiting the region around the city Garmisch-Partenkirchen quite a lot in the last couple of years, I never had been to this canyon. Therefore I was very excited to see it in person since I had already heard quite a lot about its beauty. Compared to the much more famous canyon in the United States, the Partnachklamm is a very narrow and short canyon on the foot of the Zugspitze, Germanys highest mountain. But as well as his greater brother in the States did a river works its way through the rock over thousands of years, creating this natural monument.
Already while walking through the canyon, I recognized the incredible turquoise of the water and imagined, that a view from above into the canon would make a great photo. So after hiking through it, I, therefore, looked for a bridge crossing the canyon. Luckily I found one about halfway back to the entrance on the upper trail. Since nobody else was there, I took a lot of time to find the right composition to capture the colorful contrast between the water and the foliage. The rain of the last night made the contrast even more intense and perfectly conveying the wonderful colors of nature.
