Burning Stream

Hello out there,

Could there be any better end to a trip, than this view over Bangkok?

After sending one and a half month of traveling alone through Southeast Asia, I got accompanied by two friends of mine for the last three days of my trip, which we spend in Bangkok. The first two days, we mainly used to visiting the typical tourist attractions like the Grand Palace, Wat Arun, and Lumphini Park as well as some hidden sights, like the island Ko Kret.

But the biggest highlight of our stay in Bangkok we kept for the last evening. The Sky Bar.

Since the success of the second Hangover movie, this bar on top of the State Tower has become quite popular, which is definitely justifiable. The view from the top of one of Bangkok's highest buildings is just incredible. From here you can see the sheer dimension of the city, which will take your breath away. Until the horizon, all you can see are buildings. Just the river Chao Phraya breaks the pattern and cuts the city in half.

Luckily, we arrived at the bar just as the sun was about to set, which made the whole experience twice as good. But before I could take out my camera to capture the view, I first wanted to enjoy this increadble moment.

After I couple of minutes, I then pulled out my camera and instantly knew, which part of the view I wanted to capture. Since the Chap Phraya was so wonderfully sparkling in the setting sun, I pointed my camera into its direction and just pressed the shutter.
